With a background in biology, she started her artistic journey as a watercolour artist two decades ago, specializing in scientific illustrations. Inspired by artists like William Morris and Ernest Haeckel, she transitioned to digital art, creating intricate and visually stunning illustrations. Currently, Raquel is a commercial illustrator, specializing in art licensing. Her work, influenced by the beauty of nature, graces various products, from home decor to textiles.

It features a blend of realism and whimsy, with some elements rendered realistically and others taking on a more abstract form.
